Sandra + Joe’s North Bend maternity photoshoot!

After years of working with this couple across multiple stages of life, I can’t tell you how excited I felt when Sandra reached out and shared some big news. She and Joe are expecting their first baby! Since we last worked together, Sandra and Joe relocated to Amsterdam for work. But I was able to fit this shoot in while they were in Washington for a few days. And I’m so glad I did.

The Story Behind this North Bend Maternity Photoshoot

One of my favorite parts of being a couples photographer is finding genuine connection with my clients and becoming a small part of their love story. With Sandra and Joe, I feel like I’ve witnessed their relationship from the beginning. I’ve seen them go from boyfriend and girlfriend to engaged to married and now, starting a family. And it all started with a studio couple session in Seattle, Washington.

When Sandra and her then-boyfriend Joe first walked into that studio, I don’t think any of us knew where this client/photographer relationship would take us. But we worked well together and felt good about the images we captured at that first session. Not long after that shoot, Joe recruited me to help plan and capture their Malibu beach picnic proposal. Of course, Sandra said, “Yes!” and their story continued from there.

Sandra & Joe’s Ever-Evolving Love Story

A couple of months later, I shot Joe and Sandra’s engagement photos at Mount Rainier. Then, they booked me for their wedding in Hood River. I’ve loved every photo shoot I’ve done for these two. However, their couple session at Skógafoss Waterfall and Keflavik Church vow renewal in Iceland stand out as some of the most unforgettable. From traveling to Iceland with Chris to capturing meaningful memories for Sandra and Joe, I loved working on these photoshoots and the entire trip.

Continuing the Legacy with an Intimate North Bend Maternity Photoshoot

Now, with Sandra and Joe expecting their first little one, they again chose me to help document their family story. The fall colors at the base of Mount Si were beautiful, and the sunset gave us the perfect lighting for this photo session. All in all, this North Bend maternity photoshoot was sweet, intimate, joyful, and full of anticipation for the future. I love that these two and their family will have so many timeless images to look back on. I hope these photos always remind them where everything started, with Sandra and Joe’s lasting love.

The Beauty of an Ongoing Relationship with Your Wedding Photographer

Sandra and Joe’s photo galleries, including this North Bend maternity photoshoot, beautifully showcase what can happen when you take the time to cultivate deep, long-term client/photographer relationships. These galleries show the evolution of this couple’s love and family. Plus, they are also consistent in style, which makes them so easy to display in any home they find themselves in.

From here, I look forward to capturing a lifetime of more memories for Joe, Sandra, and their family. I’ll even be returning to Iceland for this little one’s traditional baptism at the family church! And I cannot wait to see where life takes this family next.
