A garden party chic Seattle wedding photographer content day for photographers!

This was the first content day I’d put together in years, so I was excited to work on it. A content day is a styled bridal session, or any other type of styled session, where photographers can purchase tickets to come and shoot. These shoots are a great way for photographers to create content for their portfolios and social media accounts. Content days often have a specific theme. So, these sessions let photographers capture photos in the style of the ideal shoot they want to get booked for.

I love it when all the vendors involved in a shoot get to stay in their lanes and do what they do best. And that is exactly how things went for this Seattle wedding photographer content day. I’ve worked with Mimi of Gather with Mimi events many times, and she always makes the styled shoot planning process easy. We collaborated on the mood board and overall vibe of the session. Then, I knew I could completely trust her to bring our vision to life, and she did!

We went for a garden party chic meets Bridgerton feel. It turned out so beautifully! My favorite details were the parasols and mismatched bridal party dresses. Mimi also brought in pretty pastel pink and blue highlights throughout her design. Then, I captured those same colors as the sun set during the final bridal portraits.  

Everything about this Seattle wedding photographer content day came together perfectly. The bride and groom, Joon and Valerie, did an excellent job modeling for us. Since I did their cannon beach engagement session last year, I knew they’d be a great fit for this shoot, and they didn’t disappoint. We also had so many wonderful vendors helping us bring the session to life. They were all such a pleasure to work with, and some even stayed to model for us.
