Seattle Studio Engagement Session

Serafina + Marcus’s Seattle studio engagement session!

This beautiful couple is originally from Guam. Serafina and Marcus met there in seventh grade and later moved to the US. Ultimately, they dream about moving back to Guam, buying a house, and spending their lives surrounded by family. Honestly, the love these two share is so beautiful! After Marcus proposed in the perfect intimate setting and Serafina said, “Yes!” they booked me for their engagement photos.

In Seattle, the weather can be pretty unpredictable. Unless it’s the middle of summer, you’re never guaranteed a session day without rain. Because of that, I always love a good studio photo session. Serafina and Marcus booked their session at my favorite indoor shoot location in Seattle, Humano Studios’ Studio 7. (Formerly known as Northlight Studios). Soft light shines through the huge, hazed windows, and the white walls and concrete floor are bright and modern. All in all, it was the perfect location choice for this shoot.

Whenever my Washington couples want to book a session in the winter, I encourage them to book a studio. I mainly like to shoot indoors during the late fall and winter because everything outside starts looking brown and dead this time of year. Plus, a studio space like Humano Studios provides the perfect blank slate to bring any vision to life. You can create anything you want in a studio. Just look at this gorgeous studio elopement if you need more convincing!

Serafina and Marcus are the sweetest couple, and working with them was so much fun. I also loved their relaxed, neutral outfit choices. We shot a mix of film and digital. And you can see how authentically their connection comes across in these final edits. I am so happy with how this gallery turned out! If this Seattle studio engagement session inspires you, contact me to inquire about booking your own studio couple session.
