Intimate Snohomish Chapel Wedding

Ivy + Konner’s intimate Snohomish chapel wedding!

Ivy is a friend of mine from high school, which made shooting this beautiful, vintage-inspired wedding all the more special. After I captured Ivy and Konner’s picnic proposal in Discovery Park and did their engagement session at Hurricane Ridge, I was so happy to work with them again on their big day. It was also an extra fun shoot for me because this couple knew what they wanted.

When Ivy and Konner started planning their wedding, it was going to be a big event. But, as they got further along in the planning process, they realized that a big wedding wasn’t what they wanted for their special day. So, instead of sticking with something just because it was expected, they stopped and decided to plan a wedding that was more them. In the end, Ivy and Konner chose to have an intimate Snohomish chapel wedding, which turned out beautifully!

This couple kept the guest list small, with only their closest family and friends. The gorgeous, historic venue and elegant florals added even more intimacy to Ivy and Konner’s wedding day. All the details for this wedding were so pretty. They went with a beautiful vintage aesthetic that perfectly complimented the history of the chapel.

It was a swelteringly hot day, especially inside the chapel, but we made the most of it! Before the ceremony began, Ivy did a first look with her dad. Seeing how their relationship came through in the photos was so sweet. After a beautiful ceremony, everyone moved outside for photos and an intimate reception. There was charcuterie for the guests, and Ivy and Konner did a champagne tower. Then, it was time for the speeches, and Ivy’s little sister’s speech stole the show and got everyone crying.

Ivy and Konner ended their intimate Snohomish chapel wedding with a flower petal sendoff before they drove off in their vintage getaway car. Then, they came back to the chapel just before sunset for their couple session. We took a few more photos with Ivy in her wedding gown, then she changed, and we got more fun flash photos. Of course, I had to get some nostalgic blurry shots, and we also did some film. All the different shooting methods perfectly complemented the aesthetic of this wedding.

Before we finished the shoot, Ivy’s dad brought us some pizza. It ended up being the perfect prop for the last few photos before we wrapped up the day. This was such a fun wedding to be a part of. I wish my friend all the best in married life!
