Christina + Nathan’s Oregon coast elopement!
Christina and I have known each other for years. When we were younger, we met through her cousins who were my neighborhood friends. She even used to model for me back when I was doing portrait photography! We eventually lost touch, but I still remember hearing about it when she first started dating Nathan. So, I was really excited when these two ended up getting engaged!
Christina and Nathan decided they wanted to elope instead of having a large wedding. Neither of them wanted all the fuss, and elopements just tend to be so much easier. Aisle1 was their wedding planners, which made things even simpler! The Aisle1 team works hard to bring every couple’s wedding vision to life, and they take as much planning pressure off the bride and groom as possible. I have worked with this team a lot and they are amazing! They are always super organized and on top of things.
I was so happy that Chris was able to do video for their elopement as well. Working alongside Chris always makes shoots more fun. Before the wedding day, Chris and I drove down to Cannon Beach to scout for the best location. And, of course, we got some coffee! We wanted to make sure and pick an area for the ceremony and table set-up that wouldn’t be too crowded. So, when we saw Hug Point, we knew it was perfect.
Even though Christina and Nathan skipped the big wedding, their ceremony was still so beautiful. It just the two of them with their friend officiating. Then, after they said I do, they had a private, intimate “reception” with cake and charcuterie.
We got some photos there at Hug Point, then we went to Cannon Beach for more photos and a champagne pop. It was a bit stormy, but thankfully it didn’t rain on us! The stormy weather actually gave us really pretty light and combined with the cliffs to make some beautiful photos. After the wedding, we stayed over in Cannon Beach and ate some yummy crepes before we headed home the next morning.
It was so great getting to see Christina after all this time! And I very much enjoyed getting to shoot her and Nathan’s Oregon coast elopement.
