Yosemite Couple Session

Nina + Peter’s Yosemite couple session!

After wrapping up Bryanne and Jared’s wedding at the lavender farm in Northern California, Chris and I drove out to Yosemite national park to explore for a few days. I had never been to Yosemite before. So, since the wedding had already brought us so close, we couldn’t miss this opportunity to explore a new national park. And, of course, I booked this stunning Yosemite couple session while we were there, too!

The park completely took my breath away. It’s beautiful there. In Yosemite, mountains and cliff faces surround you. When we first drove in and caught sight of El Capitan, a massive granite monolith, it blew my mind. It’s so much bigger and more impressive than I ever thought. Then, the cool canvas tents we stayed in at Curry Village inside the park just added to the whole experience.

Chris and I spent the day before the shoot exploring the park and scouting lots of potential locations for this Yosemite couple session. We found many fantastic spots, but I ultimately decided on the meadow with Yosemite Falls and the Half Dome rock formation in the background. It was a stunning area, perfect for Nina and Peter’s couple session. We did the shoot at sunrise, so we didn’t have to fight any crowds.

These two had just recently gotten married. Their Yosemite couple session was the perfect way to capture the sweetness of their newlywed season. And the park was gorgeous for the shoot. Everything was green and lush from all the rain. It was a cold morning and a bit wet but running around the national park with these two was still so much fun!

After we finished the session, Chris and I went to the historic Ahwahnee Hotel’s beautiful dining room for breakfast. This Yosemite couple session and the whole trip surrounding it was an incredible experience. I can’t wait to go back!
