Emma + Austin’s Gold Creek Pond engagement session!

I was thrilled to work with Emma and Austin on their engagement shoot. Emma and I went to high school together and have been friends for years. I actually had her model for me when I first got into photography in high school. Later, I got to do her senior photos for her. And then, during the pandemic, I did a couple session for these two. So, when I saw that Emma and Austin had gotten engaged, I was so excited. I hoped I would get to work with them again.

When Emma and Austin booked me for their wedding and engagement photos, of course, I thought that was amazing! This Gold Creek Pond engagement session was so much more fun to shoot because I was helping Emma document another huge moment in her life. One of my favorite things to do as a photographer is to work with the same clients or friends year after year. I find it so special when I get the chance to capture milestone after milestone for the same people. I love watching them grow and change from behind the lens.

We decided on a Gold Creek Pond engagement session mostly because of the beautiful mountain scenery in Snoqualmie Pass. Also, Gold Creek Pond is a lot closer to home than the other locations we considered. It was so fun and easy to take photos of these two.

While I had them running around the pond, I thought about how these two found each other. They met at a wedding and did the long-distance dating thing for a while when Austin graduated first and went away to college. It has been amazing to watch them grow together as a couple. It was so special to shoot this Gold Creek Pond engagement session and be part of such a big life moment for my friend!
