Claire + Ben’s Glacier National Park bridals!

The day after Claire & Ben’s Missoula Montana Wedding, we went to the national park for their bridal photo session. This couple wanted more time to be with each other and really enjoy the process of being photographed as Mr. & Mrs. for the first time. We scheduled their bridal session for the day after the wedding so they could take that time without feeling pressured to get back to their guests. Chris and I got the chance to explore the park for the day. After that we met Claire and Ben at the visitor center in the evening for their photos.

Day-after bridals are great for people who want the big wedding, but to also want their bridal photos to feel as if they eloped. It also gives the couple and I more time to focus on just the bridal portion of the wedding photos. We can photograph in good light without worrying about an event schedule or the guests getting bored. It also lets couples book a photographer for less time on their actual wedding day.

Here’s a little bit of Claire and Ben’s story.

Claire and Ben were introduced by mutual friends at church in Missoula while Claire was a sophomore in college. Claire had a big crush on Ben right from the start. After a few months and a lot of prayers, he asked if she wanted to get coffee at Clyde Coffee shop with him before school and work. They were both nervous when they met up early in the morning, but it ended up being their last first date! Claire knew right then that Ben this was the man God had perfectly set aside for her to spend her forever with. Isn’t that the sweetest?

Claire and Ben share many hobbies, but their favorite is skiing. They spend almost every weekend on the mountain, so it isn’t any great surprise that Ben chose to propose during one of their ski-trips in Whitefish! They were halfway down the main face ski run overlooking the lake, the gateway to the Glacier, and all of the Flathead valley, when Ben popped the question. It was an intimate, private proposal with just Ben’s brother and sister-in-law with them on the mountain. There wasn’t a photographer arranged, and Claire was totally okay with that. But on their way down the mountain, after Claire said yes, the Whitefish mountain photographer stopped them and told them she’d been skiing below them and captured the whole proposal! It was such an awesome, unexpected blessing!

These two love being outside and being adventurous. The national park was a perfect location for their bridal shoot. The light was perfect and Claire and Ben were both stunning. This couple’s day-after Glacier National Park bridals were the perfect way to capture the beginning of their new life together!
