Missoula Montana Wedding

Claire + Ben’s Missoula Montana wedding was truly a dream-come-true wedding day!

This one was fun to shoot for a lot of reasons. Chris did the videography for the wedding, so we got to work together! That always makes events extra fun. And the couple themselves; they are both such awesome people and they love Jesus! Claire found me on Instagram but it was funny because I happened to know one of her bridesmaids! None of us knew each other before we started working together, but we instantly clicked and became great friends.

Probably the most stressful thing about this wedding was getting there! Claire and Ben really wanted me to be their wedding photographer, so I squeezed them into my calendar even though I was scheduled to shoot Kyla + Anthony’s Washington wedding the day before. Chris and I flew into Missoula on the day of the wedding. While we were in the air, the flight status glitched out and told Claire and Ben that we had been rerouted to Spokane! That definitely freaked them out a bit, but we made it to Missoula as scheduled and it all worked out.

Claire and the bridal party got ready at a local Airbnb. She chose a beautiful lacy gown with tons of pretty details from Grace Loves Lace for the ceremony. She looked absolutely amazing and clearly had a good time with all her bridesmaids. This couple had a large bridal party! They really love their friends. Ben and the groomsmen got ready at the house that the couple now calls home.

Before the wedding, Claire and Ben did a first look and took some quiet time alone to read their vows to each other. There were a lot of tears! It was such a sweet moment. Claire then did a first look with the entire bridal party which was really fun! The bridesmaids had seen her getting ready, but the groomsmen were totally surprised. It was incredibly hot, and I was definitely dying a little bit, but we got all the bridal party photos in before the wedding.

It was a very peaceful ceremony. Greer, one of Claire’s best friend, did all the flowers for the event. The arrangements on the backdrop added so much to the overall look of the ceremony! After Claire and Ben were pronounced husband and wife, rose petals were tossed as they walked back down the aisle.

The cocktail hour featured a giant charcuterie board for the guests and a live band! Claire changed dresses after family photos. She wore a silky halter gown from Revolve for the reception. The family was very loving and there were lots of speeches toasting the bride and groom. Pizza and salad were provided for dinner, and it was truly amazing! This Missoula Montana wedding was such a memorable wedding to shoot. Chris and I still consider Claire and Ben friends of ours to this day!
