San Clemente Bridal Photography

A whirlwind San Clemente bridal photography shoot!

Just like my bridal shoot at Olive Studio in Seattle, this was a wild, last-minute shoot. I wanted to do another styled shoot for the magazine features I had coming up, but I didn’t have much time to do it. So, I planned this session in San Clemente and recruited my friend Lea of Enora Creative Co stationery and event planning to make the quick trip down to California with me. There were some road bumps along the way, but these final photos came together so perfectly!

I sometimes have to travel morning-of when I’m working on creative sessions. But I never fly in on the same day when I’m working on a shoot for clients. And this trip to San Clemente is a perfect example of why. We booked an early flight, but the airline delayed our flight for almost four hours. So, when we finally landed, we rushed to get the rental car. Then, we quickly picked up the bouquet and raced to the beach to meet the model.

I planned to explore for the whole day before this San Clemente bridal photography shoot, but obviously, I didn’t arrive with enough time for that. Thankfully, my bridal model, Lauren, is incredibly kind and lives locally. So, she knew the area really well and helped find our shoot location.

The bouquet Good Floral Co created for this shoot might just be my favorite ever. It added so much to the overall aesthetic. I first worked with this florist on my and Lea’s Newport Beach styled shoot, and those florals were stunning. So, for this shoot, I gave no direction other than “organic,” and their creativity truly shone through.

By the time we finally started shooting, I felt so out of it. The long travel day and pre-session stress exhausted me. Still, we managed to finish the shoot, and the final images turned out so well! The film photos from this session are some of my favorite film shots I’ve ever done. After we finished up, we picked up Raising Cane’s for dinner, slept, and flew back home the next morning.

It was a wild whirlwind of a trip, but I’m so glad we made this session happen. You can see it featured in Tatler Magazine here! And, if these images inspire you, I’d love to help you create the bridal photography shoot of your dreams. Please contact me here to start planning today.
