Zion National Park Wedding

Noel + Robert’s Zion National Park wedding!

This beautiful couple first met in 2016, but the timing wasn’t quite right. Later, God brought them back together through work in 2020, and their story together began. They clicked instantly! Eventually, Robert proposed at an Eagles game, and Noel said, “Yes!” Whether this couple is adventuring outdoors or watching a movie at home in New Jersey, they know that the little moments together make life magical.

Robert and Noel booked both Chris and me for their Zion National Park wedding. (Back when Chris was still doing wedding videography.) So, we traveled there together. First, we flew from Seattle to Vegas. Of course, while we were there, we had to stop at Raising Cane’s for the best chicken. Then, we drove from Vegas up to Zion for the wedding.

I’d visited Zion before in the summer and completely fell in love. This time, it was so so cold and even snowed a little. Despite the cold, seeing the red rock lightly dusted with snow was so amazing. This national park is stunning in every season! State and national parks are some of my favorite places to shoot, so this wedding was a lot of fun to photograph. If you and your love are adventurous, consider booking me at one of the parks on my travel bucket list for a discounted session!

Robert and Noel’s Zion National Park wedding day was peaceful and such a celebration. They only invited their closest friends and family, which made it a very intimate, meaningful event. Overall, the details and decorations were elegant and gorgeously done. Even the colors of the florals tied in perfectly with the colors of the rock formations.

Noel did a first look with her bridesmaids and her dad but not with Robert. The look on his face when he finally saw her walking down the aisle was so touching. After the ceremony, they took a moment to say private vows. Then they joined their guests at the reception. A really cool touch was their audio guestbook from After the Tone. It was a vintage phone that people could use to record messages for the bride and groom. What a fun idea!

Instead of trying to fit an entire bridal session into a cocktail hour, Noel and Robert decided to do day-after bridal portraits. So, the day after the wedding, Chris and I drove around the park and scouted the perfect location. Initially, we planned to go for a hike, but it was just too cold. The wind chill was insane! We agree that we were colder than either of us ever remember being while working on this shoot.

Despite the weather, shooting this Zion National Park wedding was so amazing. The photos came out beautifully! Chris and I topped the trip off by flying to Miami the day after these bridal photos for a work event of his. What a whirlwind of a week!
