Kelley Farm Summer Wedding

Katie + Sam’s Kelley Farm summer wedding in beautiful Washington state!

These two are so sweet and easygoing. Their wedding day was SO much fun. It was a long one, but it went by so fast! We got the most perfect sunny weather with a stunning golden hour for their bridal photos. They also had one of the best dance parties of 2021 for sure. All complete with Katie’s brother jump kicking in the air (scroll down to see haha).

Although their day was beautiful and peaceful it did not start out so smoothly. When I arrived Katie was getting her hair done by my favorite, Haley Valentine, when they told me Katie still did not have her wedding dress. Like whaaaat?? I was more shocked by how completely calm Katie was. Not a bridezilla at all. How many of us could say we would be like this? I don’t know if I would be. Luckily Katie had a reception dress she could wear as a backup!

Finally the dress came! Sadly the alterations weren’t quite enough and it did not fit her as she hoped, but Katie was a total rockstar and did not freak out at all. It actually worked out well because her reception dress was more flowy and allowed Katie to move around freely for all of our fun poses during her and Sam’s first look and couple photos!

We decided that Katie would wear her main dress just for the ceremony and then change back into her reception dress after. That way she still got to wear it for a bit! It still looked so stunning on her.

After the ceremony there was a cocktail hour and some dancing, then we went out to do golden hour photos in the field at Kelley Farm. It was so beautiful. If you know me, you know I am a huge fan of some good golden light!

Once I was done taking Katie and Sam’s bridal photos the dancing really began. This crowd was so lively and fun. I hope you love this Kelley Farm summer wedding just as much as I do!
