Wonney + Jack’s sweet Crescent Bay couple session!

This Laguna Beach, CA, photoshoot was the most laid-back beach adventure. They drove in from Arizona to capture this season of life together. We met at sunrise to avoid the higher crowd levels and soak in the calm.

Although the sun stayed hidden behind the clouds that morning, the soft light was perfect. It gave the whole shoot a slower, more romantic feel that worked beautifully with both digital and film. The Pacific Ocean glowed in shades of aqua, and the nearby greenery popped in that dreamy overcast light.

We started their photo session at Crescent Bay Beach, one of my favorite spots in all of Laguna Beach. When we arrived, we found the beach quiet and peaceful, and we had the sand almost entirely to ourselves. Wonney and Jack ran along the water’s edge, splashed in the waves, and twirled each other barefoot in the sand. Everything about it felt effortless and playful—just like them.

Exploring Laguna Beach’s Hidden Corners

One of the best parts about outdoor photoshoots in Southern California is that there’s so much variety packed into one area. Laguna Beach is full of hidden coves and tucked-away shorelines. After Crescent Bay, we wandered through the nearby neighborhood and down to another quiet cove for a few more photos. These neighborhoods always feel like something out of a rom-com—with winding streets, warm-toned homes, and secret spots along the coast.
