A unique, collaborative, bridal styled shoot in Seattle, WA!
This bridal styled shoot at 210 Seattle was a lot of fun to work on. Designed as a creative content day for wedding industry professionals, this editorial shoot brought together an amazing team of wedding vendors to create a vision that was both bold and unconventional. From the striking color palette to the unique cake designs, every detail was thoughtfully curated to push the boundaries of traditional wedding aesthetics.
When envisioning this shoot, Mimi of Gather with Mimi and I wanted something completely different—something that would stand out in the wedding industry. Instead of classic bridal elements, we focused on captivating details like the unconventional mound cakes, layered pink linens, and an elevated yet minimalist bridal look. The mix of pink and green tones, along with other complementary hues, created a visually striking and refreshing aesthetic. Even though the torrential downpour limited our natural light, we embraced the challenge. We captured some stunning flash photography, adding an editorial edge to the shoot day.
Bridal styled shoots offer wedding photographers a unique opportunity to explore creative concepts outside of real weddings. As a result, this session highlighted how styled content days can be a fantastic way to connect with potential clients, showcase the artistry of wedding vendors, and inspire model couples who are seeking something non-traditional for their wedding day. The stunning floral arrangements, thoughtfully designed stationery, and statement-making cake designs made this shoot a perfect example of what is possible when wedding industry professionals collaborate.
One of the standout elements of this styled shoot was the way it played with contrast—between structured and organic elements, between soft and vibrant colors, and between classic elegance and contemporary boldness. The bride’s look was effortlessly chic, with a simple slip dress, glowy natural makeup, and a dramatic floor-length sheer veil that stole the show. The model couple also helped bring the vision to life, embracing the creative direction while making each shot feel genuine. From the artistic cake design adorned with citrus slices and unique florals to the playful mocktail tower that added a fun, celebratory vibe, every element contributed to the overall aesthetic.
