Morgan + Jeremiah’s Discovery Park engagement photography shoot!

This sweet, outdoorsy couple first came to me as a wedding photography inquiry. After they booked me for their wedding, we scheduled their engagement photoshoot at Discovery Park. Since so much of what I do as a luxury wedding photographer depends on making an authentic connection with each of my couples, I couldn’t wait to spend some time with Morgan and Jeremiah and begin building that relationship. A Love Rooted in Nature

Morgan, originally from Alaska, and Jeremiah, from right here in Washington, connected over their shared love of nature. These two are outdoorsy and adventurous! They love backcountry skiing and are also both small aircraft pilots. Additionally, Jeremiah is a hunting guide, spending most of the hunting season leading hunts out in the wilderness. 

Though the couple now both live in Washington, they still spend time in Alaska. In fact, Jeremiah proposed to Morgan in Alaska at Eklutna Lake. The stunning glacier-fed lake is one of my all-time favorite spots and made the perfect backdrop for Morgan to say “I do” in her home state. All in all, these two exemplify what it means to enjoy life and pursue adventure as a couple.

For Jeremiah and Morgan’s engagement photos, we chose to do the session at Discovery Park in Seattle. I love this location in summer for the neutral grass tones, the green leaves of the trees, and the gorgeous views of Puget Sound in the distance. The couple chose light, organic colors and fabrics for their outfits, beautifully complementing the natural setting. 

Of the engagement packages I offer, Morgan and Jeremiah chose an all-digital session. I had so much fun following them around the park, getting to know them, and capturing moments of genuine laughter and simple connection. My goal is always to create an environment where everyone feels free to be fully themselves.
