Rachel + Ryker’s North Bend, WA engagement session!

This sweet young couple first reached out to book me for their May 2025 wedding in Abbotsford, Canada. Ryker and Rachel met while attending Washington State University, then fell in love and began dating while on a camping trip with close friends. Just over a year later, Ryker proposed, and Rachel said, “Yes!” 

After they booked me to document their wedding, we scheduled this North Bend, WA engagement session almost exactly a year before their wedding date. Since this photoshoot happened in May and their Canada wedding will also happen in May next year, the colors and overall vibe of the two shoots will be similar, which I think is so fun. I love that their engagement photos will really be cohesive with their wedding photos down the road. 

I was so excited to meet these two on the day of the shoot. Rachel and Ryker are both so kind. And though they’re young, their love is so sweet and genuine. The weather cooperated perfectly, giving us beautiful light to shoot by. I love shooting at this location in North Bend, Washington, because the field is a little different in every season but always stunning with those views of Mount Si.

Rachel wore two lovely white dresses, both ideal for an engagement session. I gave them prompts that kept them moving and laughing while I documented every little moment. Overall, this gallery perfectly captures this couple’s beautiful, authentic love.
