This Discovery Park engagement session captured all the carefree warmth of a Seattle summer evening on film. Jenisha and Quincy were such a joy to photograph. We spent a sunny evening wandering through one of the most iconic photo session locations in the Seattle metro area. Together, we explored golden fields, played along the trails, and chased light as it sank low over the Puget Sound. Their joy was effortless and real, and every frame of this film gallery captured a little piece of that magic.
Discovery Park is one of my go-to spots, even when couples are a little nervous to step in front of the camera. There’s something grounding about the wide open meadows, panoramic views, and coastal trees that makes the whole photo shoot feel more like an adventure than a performance. These two brought so much fun to the evening. Quincy and I even bonded over our shared love of Marvel movies. Their love story shone through every laugh, glance, and movement.
To begin with, these two chose casual, coordinated outfits in light denim and white, perfect for the season. Then, as we moved later into the evening, their second outfits elevated the look just enough to add some editorial polish without losing the easygoing vibe. Jenisha’s neutral satin dress and Quincy’s khakis gave a soft contrast to the golden hour light, which glowed all the more through my film camera.
This all-film shoot was a reminder of why Discovery Park engagement sessions are always a good idea. The golden hour sunset lit the park in rich warmth, and the film captured the depth and grain in a way digital rarely can. Even the flash shots at the end of the evening brought out something dreamy, with natural beauty shining through every frame.

This session felt like more than a photo shoot; it was a celebration of connection. From denim and white tees to sunset-ready neutrals, Jenisha and Quincy brought both style and substance. All in all, this all-film session authentically captured this couple’s unique personality with honest imagery and glowing color. I’m always down to document love like this in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
