An organic, coastal, Neskowin Oregon elopement!

As a destination elopement photographer, I love getting lost in the details of travel plans, location scouting, and bringing my couple’s unique visions to life. I adore seeing the world while capturing your authentic love stories! So, I believe nowhere is too far or too unreachable when it comes to documenting your cherished moments… But I didn’t expect that belief to be put to the test quite like it was during this shoot.

Overall, the planning portion of this session went smoothly. Which was thanks to my friend Lea, the woman behind stationery and wedding planning company Enora Creative Co. However, when shoot day came around, stormy weather and washed-out roads threw a massive wrench in our plans. We had to use all our patience, flexibility, and creativity to pull this session off. The experience as a whole wasn’t exactly what we envisioned. But I feel proud of how we came together to create this elegant elopement on a budget.

The details and overall design of this Neskowin Oregon elopement shoot focused on creating an organic, elevated feel using simple, understated elements. I love the way Lea layered natural textures and colors to create a truly elegant, coastal-inspired tablescape. For the bridal portraits, I wanted to capture organic, intimate images full of raw emotion. And while it came with challenges, the stormy weather added lots of natural movement and moodiness to this gallery. It also perfectly complimented the candlelit details later in the evening.

Despite everything, our models were great sports. Plus, Lea and Victoria, the hair and makeup artist for this styled shoot, are some of my favorite vendors to work with. We’ve all become friends. So, together, we managed to make the best of the situation. We even took the opportunity to capture some fun headshots at this stunning coastal location.

Elopements are one of my favorite things to work on because they are all about celebrating unique love stories in the most authentic way. I love simply capturing souls in love, without the pressures of strict wedding-day timelines and outside expectations.
