Kaleigh + Matthew’s Anna Maria island wedding in Florida!

What an amazing wedding in such a stunning place! This story starts over a year ago when Kaleigh and Matthew first inquired. Originally they planned on getting married in the Dominican Republic but that had to be rescheduled due to Covid of course. I believe this was back in November of 2020. Now their new date being in May we had hopes of being able to go! Sadly due unforeseen circumstances with Covid they had to make the hard decision to move their wedding to Anna Maria Island Florida. Moving from one tropical paradise to another, who can complain??

My boyfriend Chris was also hired for their wedding to do video, so luckily we got to travel together. We flew in and made the drive to the island, it was so beautiful. I had never been to Florida and did not really know what to expect. Truthfully, I previously only ever thought of swamps and gators when I thought of Florida haha. But it was not like that… at all. The sand was so white and almost powder like it was so soft. And the water… so blue and clear. I instantly fell in love. I don’t think I would have ever thought of visiting Florida, but now I cannot wait to go back!

Kaleigh and Matthew’s wedding day was so fun. It was hot out believe me haha but was totally worth it. Kaleigh got ready at a local salon with her bridesmaids and Matthew got ready at their airbnb with his groomsmen and other friends. We then went to Kaleighs aunts home to finish getting ready and put her dress on! From there we made our way to the resort where the ceremony and reception took place. It was so beautiful. Beach ceremony with a reception under twinkling lights and palm trees, dreamy right? I am so thankful to have been part of this day! You can also see the video of this day by Chris Powell here!
