Keira’s Tacoma, Washington senior session!
Since I am now primarily a wedding and elopement photographer, I don’t do senior sessions very often. But senior sessions were actually how I got my start in photography. I don’t market them anymore, but I still offer them, so seeing how senior session clients find me is always interesting. Working with a few seniors here and there is still so much fun, and this session with Keira was no exception!
Keira is a senior at Bellarmine High School and is a volleyball player. When she booked me, she said she didn’t have any particular locations in mind. But she knew she wanted flowers, so the rose garden at Point Defiance was a perfect spot to shoot. We started there with her first, more casual outfit.
Then, we went down to Owen Beach for her second outfit, a beautiful flowy dress that perfectly matched the coastal beach vibes. The driftwood logs, pebble beach, and seagrasses were everything we wanted them to be. Plus, a slight haze over the water created a moodier feel that I actually love.
This Tacoma, Washington senior session was so much fun to work on. Working in Tacoma reminded me of when I shot Lexi’s senior session last year. The weather was perfect, and so was the light. And Keira was such a natural in front of the camera! Overall, I am so happy with how this final gallery turned out.
