Kyla + Anthony’s summer boho Washington wedding!
This wedding was so unique and perfectly tailored to the couple’s vintage, boho aesthetic. Both the bride and groom added so many pretty details and custom touches to the day! From the bolo ties on Anthony and groomsmen, to the earrings that Kyla handmade for her bridesmaids, to the custom-labeled wine bottles for their reception, the bride and groom thoughtfully curated every detail of this gorgeous summer, boho Washington wedding. Anthony even custom-designed his suit!
The venue added so much to the aesthetic these two were going for. Historic Farmhouse 14 combines rich, Washington farmhouse history with just the tiniest bit of southern flair. The wonderful owners live in the home and host events at the property. I think one of the coolest things about this venue is the old, renovated bus where the groomsmen got ready. It was so full of comfortable, cool, vintage touches. The ladies got ready in the farmhouse itself and started the day off in matching robes and slippers. So cute!
I loved shooting this outdoor ceremony. There were boho, vintage details everywhere! Before things got started, Kyla had a special first look with her dad and it was so sweet. The bride wore a vintage lace, long-sleeve dress and floral crown for the ceremony. She looked stunning! The couple even found a way to include their dogs. They were walked down the aisle with the wedding party, looking perfectly cute.
Kyla took some photos with her ceremony look, and then changed into a more flowy gown and cute hat for her reception look. The whole bridal party was very lively and lots of fun to work with. Another unique detail for this wedding: the groom had the officiant in a different color suit than the rest of the wedding party and they had him join in for some of the photos with the groomsmen and bridal party. It brought a cool pop of color to the group photos.
The reception continued to bring surprises, as the couple chose to use food trucks to cater the dinner! Daniel and Yamel with the Whateke Mexican Food taco truck and Devyn and Melissa with the Starvin Marvin hotdog truck all did a fantastic job with the food. I tried the tacos, and they were absolutely amazing!
It was so clear throughout the ceremony and reception that Kyla and Anthony have a very loving family. The speeches during the reception brought everyone to tears… maybe even me! This summer boho Washington wedding was such a joy to shoot. I wish this couple all happiness in their new life together!
